Achievement Testing Changes at NC

In the past, Nebraska Christian has used the Stanford Achievement Tests for evaluating students and curriculum. However, in the last two years, NC has switched from Stanford to TerraNova Achievement Testing, which was recommended by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), of which NC is a member school.

In the past, only students in grades 3, 5, 7, and 9 were tested, but now students in grades 4, 6, and 8 will also take the achievement tests. The tests are administered at the end of March and the beginning of April to ensure that the results are ready for parents before summer vacation.

Completed tests are sent to TerraNova, where they are scored. Then the results are sent to NC, where a copy is placed in student files. Parents also receive a copy of the results.
