Board Votes to Begin Phase II of “Next 50 Years” Capital Campaign

At the June Board Retreat, the Nebraska Christian School Board voted to begin moving forward with Phase II of the “Next 50 Years” Capital Campaign. Phase I (the new Girls’ Dorm) is paid for and nearly complete. Girls will move into the new dorm later this fall. Praise the Lord for providing for the dorm and for the fact that our general budget concerns were met during the same period of time.

For over a year, a subcommittee made up of members of the NC Board and the NC Foundation Board has been meeting, visiting other schools, and examining Nebraska Christian’s needs and the priorities set forth by the NC Board for Phase II. After much prayer, we have decided to move forward. Not all of the details are complete yet, but we have some initial drawings and are working with a construction company to eventually build a new gym, locker rooms, kitchen, dining room, and commons area south of the current gym. The two building will be connected by two hallways. There will need to be some things done to our current gym and music building, as well, during this process. Please be in prayer for wisdom for the Board and the committee that is working with the builders. Also please pray for the fundraising process. The build is contingent on the funds that the Lord provides.

We hope to be able to show some designs and begin fundraising sometime this fall!
