Music Department Excels at Conference

On Wednesday, March 30th, the Nebraska Christian Band and Choir students went to Central Valley High School to compete at the Goldenrod Conference Music Contest.

The music students competed with ten other schools and received fourteen superior ratings and five excellent ratings. The band and choir both received “1” ratings for their performances. “The students sang and played very well; it was a very educational day and an opportunity for us to improve. Our school represented Jesus Christ in how we sang, played, and acted at the Goldenrod Conference Music Contest. It helps to prepare us for District Music Contest as the judges gave us feedback on our performances,” said Mike Flynn, the Nebraska Christian Choir and Band teacher. “The judges gave us good marks and critiques on the songs we sang,” said Cole Ruybalid, a junior.

Congratulations to the Nebraska Christian Choir and Band for their achievements at Conference Music. We pray that they can do well at the District Contest and praise the Lord through their singing.
