Boys’ Basketball Preview
On November 14th, the Nebraska Christian Boys’ Basketball team had its first practice to start off a new season of basketball, and the first game was on December 2. There are 18 boys on this year’s basketball squad: Andrew Winsterman and Harry Nguyen are the only seniors; Ben Griess, Daniel Myers, Spencer Williams, Joel Poppe, Brennan Nokelby, and Tim Hofmann are the juniors on the team; Noah Boersen, Toby Watson, Trevor Cumpston, Kevin Yu, Bennett Zaruba, Cody Griess, and Hunter James are the sophomores; and the freshmen are Noah Ralls, Seth Hower, and Garrett Nokelby.
The team is coached by Paul McHargue and assisted by Andy Perdew. The coaches hope that the boys will learn to play to the best of their abilities, be good sports, and, most importantly, glorify God.
Head Coach Paul McHargue shared his thoughts: “I love this group of young men. I hope all of us will have a fantastic season.”
