Teacher Feature: Amy Shotkoski

Nebraska Christian has the privilege of calling Mrs. Amy Shotkoski one of the newest additions to the staff. Amy is a part-time art teacher who fills in for Mrs. Renate Johansen on Fridays. Amy is married to Steve, and they have two sons and one daughter. Their daughter Macy is currently attending junior high part time at NC and is a member of the volleyball and cross country teams.

In the past, Amy coached various sports at NC as well as at other schools. From 1996 to 1998, she taught kindergarten at NC, and then in 2009 and 2010 she she helped coach volleyball and taught junior high art. Before returning to NC this year, Mrs. Shotkoski was coaching junior high track in Fullerton and homeschooling Macy. One of the things that led her to be offered the position at NC was Macy wanting to attend NC.

Mrs. Shotkoski said a big thing she loves about working at NC compared to other schools is the freedom you have to pray or read out of the Bible in class. She is very excited to make an impact on the students around her this year, and she wants to glorify God in all she does.
