International

Nebraska Christian Schools has been welcoming international students since the 1970s. For many years, only one or two international students attended NC each year, and the majority of these students came from Japan. These students received tutoring support, but no ESL classes were offered.

The international program as it exists today began in 2001 with the arrival of Superintendent Dr. David J. Edgren. Under Dr. Edgren's leadership, NC's international program grew to include students from China, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Macau, South Korea, Spain, Mexico, Kyrgyzstan, Thailand, the Dominican Republic, and Germany.

In 2006, Daniel Woods assumed the superintendency, and under Mr. Woods, the international program continues to thrive. In 2009-2010, 30 students from South Korea, Taiwan, China, Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Vietnam are members of Nebraska Christian's student body.
