Third is the Word

This year, the Nebraska Christian One-Act team had a great season, placing third at the Goldenrod Conference competition behind North Loup-Scotia (1st) and Fullerton (2nd). Nebraska Christian hosted the event at the Performing Arts Center in Central City. Scott Smith and Whitney Twogood received acting honors, and Juan Lasso won the outstanding male actor award.

One-act coach Jay Garrison stated, “The one-act team did what every coach desires because each performance grew stronger and richer. More than placing third at conference and seventh in districts, which are subjective ratings by judges, our actors and actresses wholeheartedly focused on glorifying God and presenting a strong message.” Garrison wrote the script, which is set in 2007 and is about the Taliban taking 23 Korean missionaries hostage.  Twogood stated, “Even though we did not rate as high as we all would have liked, I believe that we pulled off an amazing and God-filled performance!”
