KC Wolf Visits Nebraska Christian

Editor’s Note: Several weeks ago, Dan Meers (KC Wolf) visited Nebraska Christian. He spoke to the elementary and nearly 100 guests in the morning, and then he had a special chapel for our junior high and high school students. Below is one high school student’s take on the day, as well as some photos from the event.

On Friday, December 5th, the Nebraska Christian student body gathered for chapel, but when they got there, they were met with quite the surprise. There was a huge wolf in the chapel room! Not just any wolf, this was the Kansas City Chiefs’ mascot, KC Wolf. After some time of joking around and making people laugh, the mascot took off his costume to reveal the man beneath. Dan Meers has been the Chiefs’ mascot for many years now. His job consists of crazy pranks and daredevil stunts. Mr. Meers talked about how just a year ago, he had gotten in an accident that he shouldn’t have survived. He spoke of how God helped him through this and really helped him realize he needed to make as much use as he could of the time he had. As he gave his message, he advised the students to evaluate their lives and to not waste them away. Dan Meers’ chapel was fun and interactive, but it also left something to think about on the hearts of the students and teachers alike.

great one
