Open House To Be Held August 17

The new school year is just around the corner! School begins at 8 a.m. on August 18, but there’s another important event parents need to be aware of: Open House on August 17.

At least one parent from each family must attend Open House.

Preschool through 6th grade parents will meet in their student’s classroom at 7 p.m. They should bring their children’s school supplies that night.

Junior and senior high parents should arrive in the high school building between 6:15 and 6:25 p.m., where they will pick up their student’s schedule. The evening will begin with announcements in the hallway at 6:30 p.m., and then parents will follow their student’s schedule through nine shortened class periods.

Following the open house, there will be an opportunity to purchase school clothing in the hallway of the high school building. (All students will need at least one NC shirt that will be worn on the last day of each week.) From 8:30-9:00 in the computer lab (in the high school building), we will hold a training on using Sycamore Education, which gives parents access to student grades and an easy way to contact teachers.

Please note: No schedule changes will be made at Open House. 7-12 students who still need to make changes to their schedules should call the office at 308-946-3836 sometime this week.
