Girls’ Basketball Preview

The Nebraska Christian Girls Basketball team started their practices on Monday, November 14, with 17 eager girls: Katie Entz, Grace Wu, Corryn Falk, Adrienne Falk, Carsyn Ostrand, Claire Ostrand, Alison Winsterman, Anna Musgrave, Jada McHargue, Kate Pipher, Skylar Swantek, Jordan Schnell, Jayden Leonard, Olivia Prettyman, Olivia Nyberg, Arwen Zhang, and Faith Franke. The team is very athletic, and they expect to work at basketball in a way that honors the Lord and to work at it with all their hearts as unto the Lord and not for man.

For this year’s team, the coaches’ expectations are to do their very best, to play hard and with passion, and to improve and to compete in every game. Erin Mankin, the new head coach for the girls’ basketball team, shared this: “We are young and have only two returning players who have varsity experience. The girls are working really hard and are very coachable. I think we will compete against every team we play.” We wish the girls the best of luck in their new season of basketball.
