Junior High Students Excel at Scholastic Competition

Several of NC’s junior high students attended Palmer Public School’s Junior High Scholastic Contest on January 21. The competition was coordinated and conducted by the William Jennings Bryan Chapter of the National Honor Society. Students from Burwell, Humphrey, Nebraska Christian, Palmer, and Riverside participated. The event spanned several disciplines, and NC’s students had a great showing.

The following NC competitors were recognized:
Kylie Merchant, Julie Sidak, Emily Johansen – 1st place Quiz Bowl
Ah-Rim Lee – 1st place 7th Math
Evelyn Poland – 1st place 7th Science
Richie Musgrave – 1st place 8th Math, 2nd place 8th Science
Caitlyn Chiles – 1st place 8th English
Hope Seip – 2nd place 8th Math
Isabelle Brumbaugh – 2nd place 7th Science
Amanda Needham – 2nd place 8th English
Joshua Green – 3rd place 7th Social Studies
Rachel Hale – 4th place Spelling
