Wrestling Preview

The Nebraska Christian Wrestling season is officially underway! The Eagles have new and old faces returning to the team this season. Sophomore Jaydon Elge, son of Head Coach Terry Elge, will be the leader of the team this year with many years of experience under his belt. Coach Elge will be working with the boys to teach them excellent technique on the mat and excellent attitude off of the mat. The wrestling team lives by the verse Proverbs 27:17, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” The team is made up of sophomores Jaydon Elge, Juan Lasso, Jeremiah Ebel, and Tommy Flynn and freshmen Luke Swanson, Chase Tate, and Andrew Feely.

The wrestling team had its first meet on Saturday, December 5. Three team members placed in their weight classes: Chase Tate (4th), Luke Swanson (2nd), and Jaydon Elge (1st). The team finished 7th out of 14 teams.
