Meet an Eagle: Carson Huenefeld

5258Senior Carson Huenefeld has been asked by the NEMFCA (Nebraska Eight-Man Football Coaches Association) to play in the 2015 Nebraska All-Star Game at Hastings College on June 20th. He will leave for Hastings on June 14th and practice with his team for a few days. He will be coached by Mr. Blair Kalin from Hartington.

When asked about his opportunity, Huenefeld said, “This is a great chance to play one more game of football during my high school career.” Huenefeld hopes to play football at the collegiate level, but he is not completely certain about his college plans as of right now. Being granted this opportunity is a very high honor in the state of Nebraska, and he is planning on taking this honor very seriously.

In his high school football career, Huenefeld had a total of 269 points, 40 touchdowns and 2,736 rushing yards. With his eye on his future, his main focus will be on the Lord and what He has planned for his life. As he goes to play in the All-Star game and possibly football in college, we pray that the Lord will bless his feet as he walks the path after high school.
