Track Preview

The track & field season began March 3rd, and the students participating are excited to get going. When asked about the season, senior Hope Baldwin said, “I’m pretty excited for this new year of track, and also to see how God is going to use our track team. As a senior, I anticipate great things to come.”

Track and Field is a great sport to better your overall health and to have community with your teammates. Last year, the Nebraska Christian Boys’ track and field team had one of their best seasons ever by earning 1st at Districts; the Nebraska Christian Girls’ track and field team earned 3rd place at Districts. The boys’ team went on to finish the season as State Runner-Ups in Class C.

Nebraska Christian has a great opportunity to be a witness for the Lord to the other teams at all of the track meets and to represent Him in the events that they compete in. God has given us the mission to do His will wherever we go; participating in sports is a great way to do that. As the track season advances, we are excited to see what God has in store for the team and what the team can accomplish through Him.

If you are interested in watching the Eagles compete, they will have a meet in Central City this afternoon, March 24th, beginning at 2 p.m. We would love to have your support as the Eagles run, jump, and throw for the Lord!
