Meet an Eagle: Alison Winsterman

NC1_9006_UCNAlison Winsterman, a freshman at Nebraska Christian, has a unique talent. Alison has been showing horses since she was five years old. She has received several state and national high point totals and awards. Last summer, Alison showed her horses at the Iowa State POA show; the Central Classic in Minnesota; the Midwest regional in Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and the National Congress, a 10-day event in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Alison has five horses, and she shows two of them in competition. She enjoys the challenge and discipline that comes with taking care of and showing horses, and on top of that, it allows her to compete, to be with friends, and to do her favorite class, open jumping.

Alison fell in love with horses at a very young age. She started to take lessons at the age of five and bought her first show horse when she was six. Alison has been showing horses ever since. “Showing will always be a part of my life,” she said.

Alison is also a member of the choir and the volleyball and basketball teams.
