Perdew Takes over Boys Basketball Program

A familiar face will take over the head coaching position for the Nebraska Christian boys basketball team in 2018, as Andy Perdew takes the reigns from Paul McHargue, who was the head coach over the last two seasons. Perdew has been an assistant coach in the NC program for the past three years and is familiar with most of the players. He is extremely thankful for the opportunity to coach the Eagles and is ready to begin his career as a head coach.

“I feel very honored and humbled to be the next boys basketball coach at Nebraska Christian,” he says. “It is my goal to not only help the boys grow as basketball players, but to also help them grow in their relationship with Christ.”

Junior starter Noah Boersen looks forward to playing for Perdew. “I am very excited to have Coach Perdew as our head coach next year,” he explains. “We have had three years with him so far as an assistant coach, and I feel he will do a great job as the head coach. He does a great job at scouting and pushing us to our max!”

Perdew is currently the Assistant Director at Covenant Cedars Bible Camp. He is married to Mandy, and they have four kids, all of whom attend NC: Drew (7th), Micah (6th), Tatum (4th), and Selah (1st).
