Upper Elementary Students Grow & Sample Herbs
This year, our upper elementary students have been working with the botany class to grow basil and thyme. Today, Chef Courtney Quackenbush of Prairie Creek Winery visited the students to teach them how to use those herbs. She also brought in rice made with thyme and bruschetta made with basil for the students to sample. Some of the students loved the food, others were wary, but all enjoyed learning about the herbs they’ve been growing!
