The Start of Something New

The preschoolers and their teacher, Mrs. Deana Leonard, visit the office on the first day of school.

This year, nine young, brave children have entered the Nebraska Christian preschool for the first time. The NC preschool was established in 2005 and has helped raise many children in Christian education. Preschool has class every Tuesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

The preschool students learn basic things that are needed to study in elementary school, such as subtraction and addition of numbers, basic scientific information, Bible stories, and many other activities. Also, the students have class jobs and class pets that can help to develop student responsibility. When asked their about favorite times in class, Christian Jividen said, “I like to play with toys. And I really like our toads and turtle; they look cool!” When asked about her favorite class job, McKinley Mankin said, “I like to pray, because we get a chance to talk to God.”

Overall, we pray God will bless the future of the young and clever new students at NC.
